Practical Information

Con Cura Counselling offers individual guidance to enhance self-awareness, promote emotional well-being, and support personal and life-related issues. Services are available in English, Dutch and Italian.

The intake session

Your first appointment is an intake session. During this session, we explore your situation, needs, and expectations.

We discuss what brings you to counseling, what you would like to focus on, and whether my approach is the right fit for you.

If we decide to work together, we outline a tentative plan for the following sessions.

You do not need a referral to start counseling. You can book an intake or regular session directly.

Duration of counseling

Counseling is generally short-term and goal-oriented. The number of sessions varies depending on your needs, but many clients benefit from 6 to 12 sessions.
Some choose a shorter, focused process; others continue longer if needed. We regularly review your progress to ensure the counseling remains aligned with your goals.

Information is only shared with third parties with your explicit consent or when legally required.

Cancellation policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments cancelled later than 24 hours, as well as no-shows, may be charged.

Complaints & dispute resolution

If you are dissatisfied or have concerns about any part of the counseling process, the following steps apply:

Step 1. Discuss together

Most concerns can be resolved by discussing them directly with your counselor.

Step 2. Independent complaints officer (ABvC & SCAG)

As a counselor registered with the ABvC, I am connected to the independent complaints officer provided through SCAG (Stichting Complementaire en Alternatieve Gezondheidszorg). You can contact this complaints officer if we cannot resolve the issue together or if discussing the matter does not feel possible.

More information can be found in the SCAG information sheet here.

Step 3: Dispute resolution (GCG)

If mediation through SCAG does not lead to a satisfactory outcome, you may submit your case to the Geschillencommissie Complementaire Gezondheidszorg (GCG). Their decision is binding.
